All Sides Water
all sides water is a real time feed of work of Andrew Kim and Michelle JY Park. It first came up in 2018 as the title of a short story about an island and its satisfied inhabitants. We were drawn to its self-sustaining nature and blue-tinged landscape. Starting from one point on the coastline, one could follow it forever and end up at the same place. Often, we agree that it is the limitations of our situation and resources that give the work its originality.
In 2021, we adapted the name onto this space. A small island on the internet that the two of us have claimed. The name kept surfacing in our discussions and we realized it is a mirror of our reality and approach to making.
